Scope and Contents

Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz speaks about the value of the training he recieved at the War College in preparation for WWII. He also addresses the importance of personnel planning, logisitics, and morale during wartime.

Nimitz speaks for about 20 minutes. He then fields questions and answers for approximately 40 minutes, which covers many topics including competitions between battelships, taking direction from Washington, and the usefulness of war gaming.

Some technical difficulties occur in the recording; they are momentary.
